Can I switch insurance companies???
My husband and I are stationed in Germany and have auto insurance with AIG Europe. He was in an accident last week and we are still in the process of getting the deductable paid to get the truck fixed. I called around today and got a cheaper premium quote from a different insurance company. I am wondering if I can switch to this less expensive company for insurance and still have my current insurance company fix the truck since we were insured with them at the time of the accident.
Yes, You can switch companies. AIG will pay for the accident as they were providing coverage at the time of the accident.
Your new company will not fix the truck or get involved since they were not covering you at the thime.
